How we verify your qualifications
When you apply through (TAC), you agree to the conditions set out in the application declaration.
One of these conditions is that you provide true and complete information about all your attempts at academic study.
Further that you authorise (TAC) and the participating institutions to verify any information provided by you and to obtain, where relevant, your:
- official records from any Australian or international educational institution attended by you
- English language proficiency and other test results
- records of registrations with professional accrediting authorities.
Please note that (TAC) is not responsible if an institution or authority does not provide these records or results.
'Official records’ may include (but are not limited to)
- academic records showing your enrolment, performance and results (including credit awarded for previous studies and any failed subjects)
- records of exclusion from courses or institutions, whether academic or disciplinary
- records that results have been withheld due to unpaid fees or other reasons.
Obtaining records of studies you haven’t included in your application
If you tell us about some qualifications from an institution but not others, we may still receive your full academic history from that institution. This will include results from all programs you’ve completed at that institution, any failed subjects, and credit awarded from other studies.
Additionally, if you’ve applied through (TAC) in the past, we may use results you haven’t listed in your current application.
Who has access to your official records
All of the records we verify or obtain when assessing your application will be made available to relevant institutions so that they can make decisions about your eligibility for selection into their courses.
Your records may also be shared with:
- Universities Australia and its members
- other tertiary admissions centres
- education and government authorities in Australia or overseas.
